https://sparxsystems.com/products/procloudserver/downloads.htmlImportant Notes on Pro Cloud Server v6.5To improve Pro Cloud Server security, v6.5 includes different behavior to previous releases that could be unexpected to some users, these changes include:
- When upgrading to Pro Cloud Server v6.5 all existing HTTP ports will not start. The only way to re-enable them is to resave their definitions (and restart the PCS), in doing so you are accepting that HTTP ports are not secure and should only be used within a private network
- New installations of Pro Cloud Server v6.5 will not include a HTTP port. Therefore either a HTTP must be manually created or a server.pem (SSL key & certificate) created to enable the provided HTTPS port before Pro Cloud Server will accept any kind of communication from clients
- With previous versions of Pro Cloud Server it was possible to perform a basic connectivity test using the just the server name and port of the host machine (ie http://{servername}:1804), however this now produces an error and instead the dedicated path (/connectivitytest/) should be appended to the URL, ie. https://{servername}:1805/connectivitytest/
- Model authentication is now the only available authentication method on a Port, if your previous configurations were using None or Global, there will be behaviorial differences when EA clients attempt to connect to your repositories
- Earlier versions of the Configuration Client are not compatible with v6.5 of the Pro Cloud Server service, therefore only use the Configuration Client that ships with the v6.5 installer
- The IIS Integration optional component is no longer included in the installer, this function was depprecated in v3 and should no longer be used
The licensing procedures introduced in PCS 5 are still relevant to PCS 6.5 and are documented on the Pro Cloud Server download page (
https://sparxsystems.com/products/procloudserver/downloads.html) under the heading "Installing and Registering Pro Cloud Server v5"
