text instead of shape

One of the MDGs uses a text <name> instead of a shape <name>. I could not find any difference in the effect of both. Does anyone know more about it. The help does not mention it at all.

Obviously the keywords shape, text and label are synonyms for each other. It does not matter whether you write shape main, text main or label main. Who in heaven had designed this language. Or should I say stammer?
