Deploy MDG from model
« on: February 17, 2014, 02:23:25 pm »
I've created a MDG (of document patterns)
and want to use it in a shared repository (SQL server in this case).

Rather than have each user go to "Settings > MDG technologies > Advanced" on their install of EA (we have a number of floating users)
is it possible to have the MDG technology specified in the EA repository,
and therefore all users do not have to do this piece of configuration/installation?
Orthogonality rules
Position and Team disestablished, thanks austerity.
Now itinerant.

In EA 11, you can import the technology into a project's resources view (this has been possible in the past but with limited functionality since EA 7; EA 11 should allow full functionality)

Am I right that in this case the stereotypes are accessible from the Settings and you should have security turned on?

No. From EA 11, importing a technology into a project just stores the technology whole and it is read into memory at startup the same as any other technology read from an external file or web location.

Nice. Is it working in the Beta? I'll give it a try.
