Composite BPMN Diagrams Not Showing In RTF Report
« on: August 14, 2012, 07:58:56 pm »
Hi all,

I have a BPMN diagram in which some of the activities are composite so I can double-click them and see finer detail of each if I wish.

However, when generating .rtf documentation I can't seem to get the diagrams of the activities to generate as well as the High level one.  They're not even appearing in the project browser...

Any thoughts?

If the Child diagram of a Composite Element is not showing under an element in the Project Browser it has probably been moved to another package. The - the double-click on the Element will still open the related diagram. However if the RTF report has the Sections: Element | Child Diagram and Element | Diagram - the moved diagram will not report unless the package containing the diagram is reported.

Anyone have a solution for this?

I'm having the same issue. I need to report the composite diagram of elements from a model where the elements are in a different package then the composite diagram.

If the child diagram and elements are in another package you need to set up a virtual document and use a Model Document for both of the Parent package and the Composite child pacakge.

I was afraid so (that was what I end up doing anyway)
Any chance the composite diagram can be added as a property of the element?
It seems that with the BPMN best practices as they are composite diagrams are more often then not in another package.
