Is EA a good choice for Model Driven Architecture
« on: February 27, 2004, 06:36:40 am »
There is a lot of hype about MDA these days. Can anybody tell me if EA is a good choice for Model Driven Architecture It seems to have lotsa cool features...any best practices for using EA for MDA ?

Thanks !!!

Hi

EA has a decent automation interface as well as code generation.  We are developing our own in-house MDA and using EA for the modelling - using class and process diagrams with a little enhancement here and there :)  The automation interface lets us get at what the model says the application should do.  This is then interpreted by a custom framework to generate the apps.  Not sure whether this is OMG MDA, but as far as I can see, our application models correspond pretty well to the PIM in their spec.

Cheers
