reverse engineering in Flash
« on: October 10, 2007, 12:58:13 am »
Hi,

I'm trying to get a class diagram of the system I have.
The problem is, my system uses a tree structure with actionscript files contained in different folders.
EA then creates one diagram per folder, when what i need is a class diagram containing ALL the classes together.

Any suggestion?

Cheers.

None except combining them manually (or via automation) in a single diagram.

Thanks for your answer.

I'm new to EA.
Is there some tutorial somewhere on how to do use automation for that matter?

Hm. I'm now so much saddled that I can work with few documentation. In the help you will find quite a bit. Also some examples are provided with the EA installation (see the program folder). There is a separate ressource in beta which can be downloaded but I can't recall where. Either you search the forum or you wait for someone else to post the location.

The resource Thomas refers to is the EA SDK. A few builds ago this was merged into the EA help file and users guide. If you are using a very recent build of EA you have these now. Otherwise you can download the current build of either documentation item.

Were it not for the spell checker in Firefox you wouldn't be able to read anything I wrote Thomas.   :-X

[EDIT: Note the correction in bold - Firefox won't prevent me from making that kind of blunder.]

Gotcha! I work with Safari - and no spell checker. That's why I make so many mistakes ;)

For the purpose of creating a class diagram, copy all your source files into a single folder, then do the import.
