Inheritance of Use Case Goals
« on: January 25, 2008, 06:11:14 pm »
If use case B is a specalization of use case A, does B inherit A's goal?

If so, can the inherited goal be overriden in B?

If that is so, what special considerations would you recommend for, or what are the important implicatiions of, this process?

Thanks

hmmmmmmmmm

I don't think so.

"A" usecase, in a model is an instance of the classifier :usecase, thereby having a value for the attribute :usecase.goal ..

"B" usecase, even if it is a specialization of A: would only inherit any attributes of A: not their values.

hmmmm ..

maybe its' tags, ???

hmmmm ..

just coz number_one_son:person is a specialization of me:person I wouldn't expect him to inherit the values of my attributes, such as .age and .wisdom ...
