Java 1.5 annotations in code reverse engineering
« on: February 18, 2009, 03:41:51 am »
Hi,

can EA identify Java 5 annotations and automatically puts them in the UML model while reverse engineering Java code?

Thanks...

They are reverse engineered as tagged values.  This means that they aren't displayed on diagrams by default for classes/interfaces, and there isn't an option to display them for attributes, methods and parameters.

You can make things a bit easier - for users of EA and EA Lite at least - by opening and docking the Tagged Values window. Showing tagged values for features (attributes etc.) still requires an extra navigation step though.
No, you can't have it!
