execution specification / occurrence / activation
« on: January 08, 2010, 03:08:50 am »
Hi!

in sequence diagrams the thin rectangle (a solid double line) that hides the lifeline is called:

execution specification / execution occurrence / activation / focus of control

On higher level of abstraction the double lines will be usually omitted because they add no useful information.

How can I omit the double lines in Enterprise Architect???

I know that this is possible in Enterprise Architect because there is a figure within the User Guide (October 2009) on page 257 (chapter 4.2 Software Architects) with a sequence diagram with no double line!

Best regards,

Right click on the diagram and select 'Suppress Activations'.
