Paolo's point notwithstanding IMHO this should be reported as a bug. Quicklinks are highly automated, so leave very little in the way of choice to the user. Thus, they should default to UML-standard behavior, rather than a product-specific feature. Thus, quicklinks should not produce EA aggregations at all.

Paolo's whole argument - the reason for this thread - still stands. However, this specific quicklink behavior should be reported and resolved as quickly as possible, while Sparx mulls over the larger points.

Just my 0.02 CAD worth.

As is most often the case, I agree with David.

Sl@sh, Report this as a bug, you can use the Report a Bug link via the Support link at the top of the page.
Place a reference back to this topic in the message.  That way, the Sparxians can see any ongoing discussion.
If you get a response, please add it to the topic.

My referring you to the other posts was to help you determine what the specific nature of the problem was.

I sent in the bug report, but unfortunately forgot to include a reference to this topic. Is there a way to add this after the fact?

And thanks for the references - it's always so much easier using a program when you have an idea about what it does ;)

See: Aggregation and Association proposal for a proposal to provide consistent processing and rendering of EA Aggregations, Compositions and Associations.
