UML Profile for XSD use and extension

I have a two part perhaps newbie question:
1) How do you get the UML Profile for XMLSchema to be used instead of the built in XMLSchema in the toolbox?
2) If I add an XMLSchema facet to an XSDelement in the profile, is there a way to make the schema generator emit it when generating an XMLSchema from the class model?

Any help would be appreciated.
