instances tracing to classifier

Hi
a very simple issue:
I use a lot the traceability window of EA to inspect the element's dependencies.
What I'm missing there is the possibility to identify the element's instances (objects, parts and so on). EA doesn't trace these ralationships automatically.
The question is: how to model this relationship in a way as much consistent as possible with the UML standard?
Is the realization relationship ok? or just a dependency would do? Do you have other elegant methods to do this?

My "elegant method" would be to use version 9 (or 9.1). There's an option on the toolbar if you want these relationships included
