Activity diagram: refer to event defined elsewhere

Hi,

I’d like to consistently represent event handling in my model. For instance, in a “Send event” or “Receive event” operator of an activity diagram, I’d like to refer to an event which has been defined in another diagram within an interface using the << event >> stereotype. What is important to me is to establish the logical link between the definition of the event and the corresponding send/receive operations. The dialog of the latter operators only allows for assigning a name which seems to be unrelated to any other model entity.

Do you have an idea how this could work out?

Maybe it's just as simple as dragging the relevant event from the browser onto the diagram?
