Relationship Matrix
« on: March 15, 2008, 03:57:20 am »
Hi.

I am trying to define a Relationship Matrix, but no information is displayed. That's the situation I have defined on the Relationship Matrix window:

Type = UseCase
Type = Activity

LinkType = Realisation
Direction = Source->Target

When I click the Refresh button, the UseCases appear on the left column, but nothing about my Activities is displayed. Thus, the matrix is not fulfilled.

Is it a bug or I can't really relate UseCases and Activity Diagrams?

Regards,

The relationship matrix can't show how elements are used on diagrams.  It shows what elements have connectors between them.  The relationship matrix that you have described (if I have read it properly) will show any use cases that have realisations to activities.

It might be a silly question, but did you check that target and source contain proper packages?
If I put you finger in the eye
then you have finger in the eye
and I have finger in the eye
but it's not the same

Hello Rinaldo,

maybe you can try this:

Open your relationship matrix and go to options button on the top-right of the screen.
Click the Options button and select the 'options' submenu. EA will show a list of sub-items, you should select the 'include metaclassed elements' item. See if,as a result, the matrix is updated with the list of your activities.

This is usually the solution when drawing BPMN activities.
Hope this helps.
