there is no way simply manage assembly relation - you can't precisely position lollipop  symbol in your diagram.

Use case: draw assembly between 2 components and split assembly connecton - lollipop goes up from the split point

It's not ideal, but if you create two line waypoints, the assembly will be between the two.  You can then drag them to be both to any point along the line to move the lollipop to that position.  You can do the same thing when you actually want a bend, It just requires a balancing of waypoints.
