Deployment Diagram Legend Not Saving

I am using EA 7.0.818 and when I create a Deployment Diagram and add a Legend to it, the legend is not saved with the diagram. When I re-open the diagram, all the Legend details have been lost. I have asked all our EA gurus here about it and nobody can explain this.

Is this a bug? If so, is there a workaround (or fix in a later version)? If not, what am I doing wrong?

Sounds like a bug. Have you sent Sparx a bug report?

I seem to recall that this has been reported before but was hard to reproduce. Do you have a small sample project where this happens?

I tried reproducing it with a minimal project, but it didn't occur. Instead, I used my project and removed all the proprietary information. It still happens there. Is there somewhere I can upload this if somebody can look at it? I don't have a download location I can put this on.

Send it directly to Sparx.

Use the Registered Users bug report - there's a link near the top of the Registered Users page and the Support page - which will allow you to attach the file.

Or, you can email it (compressed of course) to Sparx support. The mail address is also on the Registered Users page and the Support page.

We have seen this problem under Vista. The cause was the Jet 3 driver munging up SQL union query results. I'd try changing your Jet driver to Jet 4 (see http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/EAUserGuide/index.html?generalsettings.htm), and if the problem persists after that, send an email to sparxsupport.

Switching to Jet 4.0 fixes the problem. Note: I am under XP, not Vista, so this must be the same on both OSs.

IMHO YA reason for Jet 4 to become the default. Of course this would mean the Jet 4 EABase file would have to remain current and be distributed as the default as well. Perhaps the Jet 3.51 driver and file could be retired from the core product and be available as a resource download.

These days I try to encourage other users to submit feature requests and bug reports - it helps to get the community at large involved - but this here I'm the one who brought it up, so I'm happy to do the legwork.
