SQL-Server 2005 - lost links with xmi 2.1 import
« on: July 27, 2008, 08:06:14 pm »
We recently encountered the following problem:
EA 7.0 with SQL-Server 2005 repository does not show links after import of xmi-file exportet with UML2.1 XMI-Format.
Elements and diagrams are importet  but links do not show up in the importet diagrams.
In the diagram menu -> set visible relations not a single link is shown.
However the connections still exist as can be prooved in the element properties link tab or in the relationship-view.
Even after copying two imported, connected elements into an other diagram, the connections are not shown.

We searched the table contents and could find the links in t_connector and t_diagramlinks.
When importing the same XMI-file into an *.eap-Project or into an mysql-DB we do not meet these problems.

There might be some relationship to other issues reported in this forum such as "Version control - lost relations" http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1215342502 or "Handling of nested controlled packages" http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1214575209.

Does someone have encountered similar problems, knows about solutions or workarounds, bug reports?
