Problem with "Synchronize Tags and Constraints
« on: August 26, 2008, 08:44:23 pm »
I created a Profile that contains a Stereotype with some custom tagged values. In a model I then created some elements using the Stereotype.

I then add yet another tagged value to the Stereotype, save the profile again, and import the updated Profile. I then used "Synch Tagged Values and Constraints ", and expected the previously created elements to also get the new tagged value, but that doesn't happen...?

Have I misunderstood something, or is this a bug?

I believe you understood correctly.

There were several recent reports of issues with synchronization. I do not know how many have been resolved as of build 832. If you have not done so you might want to update to the newest build (832 at this time) and see whether your situation improves.

Please note that we're seeing some automation bugs in build 832 that will not be repaired until at least build 833 (perhaps later). I stronly suggest you check forum posts over the past week or so - from the 832 release date plus a day or so - and search for 832. This will help you decide whether these might be a problem for your shop.

I updated to build 832, but I still have the same problem.

Sigh...

All I can suggest is to wait for 833; it should be soon. If the problem is not solved then, submit a bug report if you've not done so already. [In fact, submit one now in case they have not yet frozen build 833.]
