Enable Security
« on: October 29, 2008, 12:54:30 am »
Hello,

I have a problem because the menu item "Project->Enable Security" is not available in every project that I create or maintain, even with the admin login. As a consequence, I can't maintain users and a colleague has only read rights on the project.
I have EA 7.1.831 installed with a Corporate Key registered.
I come back from holidays and I don't remember what I've done with this bloody security rules before leaving ...  >:(

How to find again the item "Project->Enable Security" ?

Thanks,
PA

Hello,

I have a problem because the menu item "Project->Enable Security" is not available in every project that I create or maintain, even with the admin login.

A few things which come to my mind:
- Make sure the "admin" logon is really the Administrator and not some user with additional privileges
- Check your license file whether it really is the corporate license

If you create a project from scratch security is not enabled as a default. If everything goes wrong you might export the whole model to XMI and reimport it freshly into a new repository.

Good luck.

Oliver

I've not found the origin of the problem but I've found the solution : remove my Corporate Edition key, Add an old Professional Edition key, remove it and then re-enter the same Corporate Edition key.
The menu items Project -> Security and Project -> Manage Baselines have reappeared  :D
Thank you for your advices Oliver.
