It appears that Sparx EA work with ClearCase Client, but does not work with ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC):
- In CCase client, EA uses view.dat to identify CCase view.
- In CCRC, .copyarea.dat is created (instead of view.dat) when CCRC view is created.
In version control settings, EA give me error "Project must be in a view" when I use CCRC view (CC client view has no problem in version control setting due to the presence of view.dat)
It is our big setback since we have to use CCRC due to our domain configuration. Please help us quickly

Hello Ha,

EA supports integration of version control, using VC clients that support the MS SCC API, as well as Subversion, CVS and MS TFS.

An SCC client is available for ClearCase and many EA users are happily using this client.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no SCC client available for ClearCase Remote Client.  As such, CCRC can not be integrated with EA.

EA does not know about or make use of the file "view.dat".
