cloning objects doesn't clone associations
« on: June 27, 2009, 05:40:21 am »
Hi there,

I've been through this issue for a long time and I wish I could see it fixed/extended in the next releases.
It's quite simple. When I choose some associated objects (imagine a whole class diagram), copy and paste them AS NEW, I think the associations (links) between these objects should be copied as well.

Please,

add to this issue the realy annoying behavior in wich we have to confirm each and every object name being copied. Copying a whole class diagram with 20 classes is extremelly tedious.
It would be wonderfull If there was an option "keep the same name for all objects" during the process.

   Thanks again,

Clessio

What about deep copy of an entire diagram?
No, you can't have it!

No problem, glad to help!

EA is a big product. It is easy to miss something like this no matter how you search.

Of course that's one reason this forum exists...
