Crash Issue when launching "File History"

Hi,

I am using Version Control with Perforce and I have several packages under control. Sometimes, when I try looking at the revision history of the package (File History in the Package Control menu), EA crashes.

After several tries, I realized that prior launching File History, if I launch File Properties from the same menu, all information shown look not initialized except for the Depot and Workspace Path (like if the xml file could not be read or something like that).

Usually, even if I re-open the model, it will not always work correctly. The only work around I found to recover from that situation is to run the  "Validate Package Configurations" utility from the Project | Version Control menu. Once I ran that utility, File Properties get back to normal and File History does not make EA to crash anymore.

Even if the workaround works well, I would appreciate to know what I can do to avoid that situation.

Hi Francois,

First, make sure you are using (or have confirmed the situation with) the most recent build of EA (which is 845 as I post this).

If the problem persists I suggest you report it to Sparx with a bug report. That's not (only) a post to this forum section; use the Report a Bug link near the bottom of any form page to reach the bug report form. If you are a registered user then click the link above the bug report form to get to the registered user form. You can attach a file to the registered version; you might want to send in your project (if you are allowed to do so) so Sparx will have a sample of the bug.

Thanks Midnight for the recommendation. I am actually using the last build, so I will try to fill the bug report you mentioned and post back if I hear from Sparx.
