Generating BPEL from BPMN diagram?

Hi!

I noticed that EA 7.5 makes it possible to generate BPEL. But how?
If I have a BPMN process diagram and of course some attributes defined for tasks (in the Tagged Values), how to generate the code?

And which attributes are mandatory to be defined?
Tried to find some guidance from help but could not find any.

Hi Tarja,

First check which edition of EA you are using. AFAIK you need either the Business & Software Engineering Edition or the Ultimate Edition of EA to work with BPEL. I do not believe that either edition (yet) imports BPEL. I am not sure about that, so you should confirm this on your own.

My guess is that whatever options EA provides for BPEL import might not appear (at all) unless you have one of the above editions.

I have the 7.5.843 Corporate Edition and from the comparison table I saw that code generation is not supported. I have to think about whether to upgrade...

I would encourage you to download the trial version and check it out...

Remember you only need 1 licence to generate.

Let us know how you go if you decide to try it...
