Eclipse MDG Java Link
« on: December 21, 2005, 09:47:08 am »
Hi,

Currently I am helping to evaluate Enterprise Architect and the MDG Eclipse bridge.

I created a simple set of five classes which I expected
to cause no major problems.  It is taking a few minutes
to map changes from the UML into the Java code.

The reverse link from Java to UML is impressive and takes a fraction of the time.

Is anyone else having the problem?
Is this just a slow operation?

I wouldn't have expected it to take that long, and I haven't seen it take long.

But could you tell me if it takes a long time to generate those classes without the MDG Eclipse addin setup for the current package?

Hi,

Without the link, the classes are generated very
quickly.

I got an email from support which asked the same question and also that it "may be related to
updating of the eclipse project itself to include the newly generated files. "

I'm going to check this now.

Thank you  :)
