New class duplicates other classes
« on: December 12, 2009, 05:12:45 am »
Recently upgraded to EA Pro version 7.5.850.  I now find that when I add a new class to a diagram, instead of being an empty class, it is populated just like some other class in my model, and I have to go in there and delete all of the attributes and methods and other "stuff" so I can start with an empty class.

Notes do the same thing... if I add a note to a diagram it establishes itself with the contents of some other note, and I have to empty it out before putting in the note I want.

This must be some kind of an option that's new with 7.5 but I can't find where to turn it off and I can't find any help in the "help" or in this forum.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you have set a templates package. See this page of the help for instructions on how to turn it off: http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/modeling_with_uml/using_element_templates.html
