v8 - Beta - MPD - which is it?

The just released (8-Feb-2010) v8.0 Beta appears to be suffering Multiple Personality Disorder.

Sometimes it claims to be Beta 1 and other times it says it's Beta 2.

Can any Sparxian provide a definitive answer?

I wasn't going to report this, but some questions I'm about to post may need more exact information.

For reporting bugs against a specific version, always look in Help>About. This says 8.0.852.

I ended up using the build number in the report.

But, just to humour me; which Beta is it?

Beta 1 according to the installer, the readme and the forum announcement. I'm curious now: where does it say Beta 2?

Can't find it any more...

It's not worth any more effort on either part.  

I showed the MPD to my workmates, so it was there somewhere at the time...

Nope, I don't seem to have one...

(I did an in-situ upgrade)

Then maybe it's my fault? Can't remember how I installed as I have 8 and 7.5 in parallel. Maybe I forgot to erase 7.5 prior to installing 8? The named file is talking about a 6.5 upgrade. Possibly it's there since, well....
