Stereotype qualifiers needed in dropdowns
« on: April 21, 2010, 03:10:11 am »
With increasing use of MDG Technologies and the havoc that can be wrought by picking the wrong instance of the stereotype with the same name (see: Wrong stereotype identified), the stereotype dropdown for the primary stereotype needs to add a qualifier after the name of the stereotype indicating whether it is Global or belongs to an MDG or Other profile.

At present, one CAN get multiple occurrences of the name stereotype name and no indication of which is which.

My suggestion is to use the value of the MDG ID: property - which must be supplied when you generate the MDG.  Naturally, this would have to be made visible in the Settings|MDG Technologies... dialog for cross-reference purposes.
