Default appearance not overridden by local
« on: May 03, 2010, 07:47:02 pm »
If you set a local rendering of an item in a diagram using the Format toolbar, it will override the equivalent setting for the Appearance>Default Appearance... [F4] specification (except for the Font itself and the Line Width).
If you subsequently change the Appearance>Default Appearance... [F4] for the item via an other diagram, the (remaining) default aspects are appropriately updated, but the "local" overrides remain.

However, if you change the Appearance>Default Appearance... [F4] of an already locally changed item the changes you make to the default appearance are also reflected in the the local item.

This is wrong! If you're setting the default appearance of an item, you're not setting the locally changed appearance!  The defect is that no cognizance is made to the fact that the local item has been changed from the default (for that aspect).  The local diagram setting must always override the default.

Reported,
Paolo
