Consistent application of "Default" item

EA allows you to adjust the rendering of the item on the diagram in a number of ways:

• By adjusting the Instance Default (that is the attributes available under: Tools|Options...|Standard Colors) - although only some of the appearance attributes are available here.
  
• By setting the appearance attributes in a stereotype (whether Global, Profile or MDG) (Settings|Uml...|Stereotypes etc)
  
• By setting the item's default appearance via Appearance>Default Appearance... [F4]
  
• By setting the specific appearance in the local diagram View|Toolbars>Format Tool

Before I proceed, I want to define the term default:  In the absence of any other instructions

You'll note the ordering of the list, the list is ordered from most general to most specific scope.  This should be the same order of application for the appearance attributes.

In build 855 this is not the case.  I won't detail where this isn't the case as the order of application differs depending on the circumstances - typical EAUI.  Suffice to say that in order to be able to provide consistent rendering (especially where one is developing MDG Technologies that need to be consistently deployed in environments the MDG developer has NO control over), EA needs to standardize on a consistent method of application.  I submit the order I've presented is consistent and logical.

I believe this is a very important issue please show your support...  If you haven't been "bitten" yet - you will!
