HTML Export Duplicate Packages
« on: May 14, 2010, 01:14:16 am »
The export was working fine before I upgraded to version 8.0.856. Prior to this i was using V7.5.

Now whenever I do a HTML export of my model some of the packages in my Use Case Model are duplicated. They are not duplicated within EA just in the exported HTML.

It appears that the duplicated packages are linked in some way as when I expand a package the other duplicate package also expands.

Is this a known issue with V8? Is there a work around?

For your information I am using EA Corporate Edition.

Thanks!

Adam.

Has no one else had this issue?

Have you done a Tools|Data Managent>Project Integrity Check... [Shift+F9]?

If there are any detected integrity problems, then "all bets are off"...

Running that I get the following:

Code: [Select]
+--------------------------------------------
| Integrity Check Report.
| Generated: Monday, 14 June, 2010
| No. Items: 10
+--------------------------------------------
1 - Invalid operation parameter. ITEM: InternalTradeID. ACTION: Delete Operation Parameter.
2 - Invalid operation tag. ITEM: property. ACTION: Delete Operation Tag.
3 - Invalid operation tag. ITEM: property. ACTION: Delete Operation Tag.
4 - Invalid link geometry. ITEM: Missing Diagram. ACTION: Delete Invalid Link Geometry.
5 - Invalid connector. ITEM: Association. ACTION: Delete Connector.
6 - Invalid connector. ITEM: Association. ACTION: Delete Connector.
7 - Invalid connector. ITEM: Association. ACTION: Delete Connector.
8 - Invalid connector. ITEM: Association. ACTION: Delete Connector.
9 - Invalid connector. ITEM: Association. ACTION: Delete Connector.
10 - 4 elements: child package ID does not match parent. ITEM: . ACTION: Reset child element Parent ID.

Is there any way to get a more detailed report as I have no idea where the problems are?

Is there not a way just to rebuild the project databases somehow?

Thanks,

Adam.

I have just taken a copy of my project and ran the 'Recover/Clean' option of the 'Project Integrity Check'. The 'Report' now says 'No problems found'.

After doing this I still get the same problem. Any other ideas?

You'll have to send your repository to Sparx for them to analyse what may be the problem.

I've never heard of anything like this.

We had a similar problem with RTF document generation.
Sent a test case as a repository and it was acknowledged as a bug.
