Strategic modelling - Strategic Map
« on: June 22, 2010, 02:00:28 pm »
EA has recently added "Strategic Modelling" tools, and specifically a "Strategic Map".

Both the built in help and the EA guide on the website are silent about these tools. (so are the forums)

Can anyone point me in the direction of some documentation.

Why do I want this?
I want to understand the objects provided in the tool,
and specifically why I can't add an action to a (custom)  diagram strategic map.

I've too wondered about this feature so I did a search on google and found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategy_map

The concept of strategy maps was introduced to the business world in 2001 by Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton as a means to illustrate and elaborate their earlier concept, the balanced scorecard. The standard reference for the strategy map is their book The Strategy-focused Organization.[1]. A further standard reference is their third book Strategy Maps, which provides numerous examples of the use of strategy maps in various organizations.

Hope that helps.
