Transformation language does not appear
« on: March 31, 2006, 06:08:59 pm »
Hi All

I have created a set of transformation templates in an EA project stored in SQL Server, the templates were created for a new language called "MyUnitTests".
For some reason this language now does not show up in the drop down on any of the Transformations screens... effectively I can neither view nor modify my templates.

The strange thing is that when I export the project back to a .eap file, the language shows up and everything works as expected.

Is this some database corruption/referential integrity problem?  Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Thank you

Have you created a Transformation Template or a Code Generation Template? Somehow your post does not seem to be clear ???

I used Settings|Transformation Templates... to create the templates.
That screen allows you to configure a new transformation type using the New Transformation button, and the new type appears in the Language dropdown... only in my case, in this one database, after I had finished creating the templates, the template type no longer appears in the language dropdown, and what's worse, I cannot create another language type.  They never show up in the drop down, so they are effectively unselectable.

Hi Alon,

Try upgrading to a more recent build of EA.  The release notes for build 787 suggest that it may have been fixed then.
