Problem with "Save Image" command
« on: October 04, 2010, 11:27:23 am »
I am currently running EA Pro version 8.0.856, and I can no longer save diagram images as JPEG or PNF or actually anything.  When I select the Diagram/Save Image menu item, the "Save as type" drop down at the bottom of the dialog window is empty.  I have been through all the settings dialogs many times and cannot figure out what has stopped this feature working.  I am not sure when it stopped working, but know for sure that is was OK before I upgraded to version 8.  Any body with a similar problem or a bright idea?

TIA.

I recall a problem like this a while back - the issue was that an unrecognized file extension had previously been entered into this dialog.

To fix this - Just specify to save a diagram using a filename with a known valid file extension.  E.g. png, bmp.  The list of file types should hopefully then populate again correctly next time you open this dialog.

That did the trick.  I suppose most people would have done that anyway, and that is why it did not get posted.  Duh!
Thanks very much.

I believe there was a change related to this in the most recent EA build.
