Hyperlinks in NOTES (864) not working?

Is it just me or can anyone else NOT create hyperlinks within the notes fields?

The dialog comes up and I can complete it, but nothing is placed in the notes afterward.

Can any one confirm that they can with build 8.0 (856864)?

I'd like to confirm it's a real bug before I report it.

If possible, can some kind soul with a version that works, please post the text of the hyperlink in the note so I can at least create then manually?

I'm using 8.0 (864), and it works there.
First off, you need to select the text in the Note, then bring up the link dialog - if you try to add the link without having any text selected, you end up with nothing (like you describe). This is because the link itself is not displayed, it needs a text label - pretty much like HTML.

Here's what a note with a "Web Site" link looks like in XMI:

OK, I just realized that maybe when you said Notes fields, you meant Notes fields - not Notes themselves.  

I tested this in 8.0 (864), and here's the scoop.

You can create a hyperlink inside a Note field, as above.
The link is not displayed as a link in a diagram, nor is it clickable.
If you switch on formatted Notes for the Element, the link is displayed properly, but is not clickable.
If you create a separate Note and link it to the Element's Note, again, the link is displayed properly, but is not clickable.

In other words, it doesn't work in 864.

Yes, when I say something, I usually mean it precisely...  

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction (selecting text before creating Hyperlink)  I'd forgotten that.  I still think it's EAUI NOT to allow you to set the hyperlink text in the dialog and I'll report a bug to that effect.

Also, there seems to be no way to edit the hyperlink once created.  If you place the cursor on the hyperlink and hit the hyperlink button the hyperlink is removed.

However, I reported the bugs you saw when the feature was first deployed, many releases ago.  Would you be so kind as to add another bug report on that subject?

I agree that this behaviour is not in alignment with the commonly found methods of entering a hyperlink.

The text that forms the hyperlink should be part of the dialogue box, thus if no text is entered it should be possible to provide the text then and there.

I totally agree about the issue of editing the hyperlink. This is just poor if not careless implementation (or specification - attention to detail?)
