Get All Latest is extremely long - EA 9 build 906

I just moved from EA 7.1 into EA 9.
I see that functionality "fix up external references" under Get All Latest process is extremely long - about 1 hour or so...

It happen for my crucial (and very big) project with many packages separately configured in version control (SVN).
With version 7.1 it was no problem but now I am in desperation.... come back to 7.1!?

Finally I resolved it by division... i.e. users load into new eap file not all branches (from one root package) but only several useful "sub-branches" (each such branch is now in fact separate root/model in project).
I was possible because e.g. branches for business analyst are independent from designers and vice versa.

Anyway problem still exist - i.e. in case of very big model at the end of Get all latest (in fact Scan XMI...) EA transform processor for 1-2 hours into good electric heater
