That's because it's an unrelated issue and selecting ANY connector type currently doesn't work in that dialog.  There is a fix in the works, but it in no way relates to realization vs. realisation.
I didn't notice a fix for this mentioned in the release notes for build 850, but the dialog now appears to work.

I also didn't get notified that a fix was published.

Still, I'm used to it now...

That's odd, because I'm quite certain that the fix did not go into build 850.  And it still doesn't work when I run 850.

I suspect that you have actually disabled one or more MDG technologies.

Yes, I have a fairly clean setup at the moment.   For the model I ran the test on, I have only the Basic UML and our own MDG technology enabled.

So, does that mean the problem is related to specific MDGs?  How?

But I'm fairly certain I had the same setup before and it DIDN'T work...  (But I'll concede my memory may be faulty)

All,

I share Paolo's frustration regarding EA's "organic" inconsistencies, of which "Realization" is but one. I love the tool in spite of its flaws, but one of these days it would be just peachy if the EA code base got a nice, clean shave with Occam's razor.

I've just been bitten by this inconsistency again!

Will there EVER be a fix?

No. There are so many oddities already in this product. Nobody has the balls to actually start a re-design. The situation will get worse each day.
