Subversion bad performance.
« on: December 26, 2011, 04:08:52 pm »
Hi all,

I'm evaluating EA, and I have very poor performance when I'm trying to "export branch" into my subversion repository. As there are only few models for the moment I'm very surprised to have this kind of problems now.

Client side :
--------------
- Virtual Machine with Win 7
- Tortoise SVN (I read in another thread that not the best client, but it is true and wich client I could use instead)

Server side :
---------------
- Virtual Machine with Win Server 2008 (I know, bad idea, but only for testing purpose and I use this repository for a lot of others things and the performance are pretty good)
- Visual SVN Server

So if you have an obvious response that I had missed.

Regards

Julien.

Julien,

What do you mean by "bad performance"? IIRC export branch is something you would do only once, so I guess performance isn't really critical.

I think there's a client from Collabnet you can use with EA.

Hi Geert,

by "bad performance" I meant that for each file, the process take more than 30sec... I hope this is not the normal behaviour and it's caused by my configuration with EA/TortoiseSVN.

It's not critical, but disturbing about general performance, specially when you evaluate a software.

I'll give a try to collabnet client.

Thanks.

Julien.
