Suggestions and Requests / copy system test case to acceptance test case
« on: December 11, 2003, 04:22:33 pm »
It would be great to be able to copy test cases from one type of test to another; such as from system test to accetance test.

Often some of the test cases are repeated with just different input and by a different set of people.

There needs to be a copy and paste function for test cases.

Suggestions and Requests / Need a way to sort internal requirements
« on: August 16, 2004, 04:34:05 pm »
In the RFT documentation, the Internal Requirements are sorted by requirement name.  It would be nice if there was an option to sort them by requirement type.  I don't even see how that could be done by changing the template.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Multiselect in the Project Browser
« on: December 11, 2003, 04:26:15 pm »
Yes, I was very surprised to see that I couldn't do multi-selects in the project browser.

This would be a very nice feature.

General Board / Constraint that can't be edited or deleted
« on: April 23, 2004, 01:51:23 pm »
I added a constraint to a Use Case.  I saved it successfully.  When I select it, the delete or save buttons remain greyed out and I can't see the description.  I am able to add additional constraints to this same use case element and delete them or edit them.  It is just this one constraint that I can't do anything with.

I appears to be a bug.

Any help or feedback?

General Board / How do i copy system test case to acceptance test?
« on: December 10, 2003, 04:28:25 pm »
Is there a way to copy a test case entered under the system test tab over to the acceptance test tab?  Is there an easier way to copy the test cases than having to copy each attribute one at a time?

Many times the system test is going to be duplicated for the acceptance test.  There should be an easy way to copy the test case over.

Thanks,
Stan

General Board / Need help changing RTF style template.
« on: December 10, 2003, 09:37:40 am »
What do I change in the RTF style template to remove the 'associated files' from being printed out?  And is there a way to change the name of the 'Scenarios' heading to 'Steps'?

I'm also trying to change the Test Case table to display another table column for 'Results'.

First, I just need to know if all of this is possible to do and then how to do it.  Or at least give me some pointers or directions as to where to go.

I know how to change the RTF Style template in EA.  I just don't know which of the RTF templates such as 'List Header', 'Basic Style', etc. to change.

Any help is very much appreciated.

General Board / Problem with exporting to CSV file - missing data
« on: October 29, 2003, 08:55:10 am »
When I export my use case and packages to a csv file, the results pane says that it exported use cases and packages, but those use cases and packages aren't in the csv file.  It seems to export the last 196 to 200 rows and then stops.  More than 1/3 of what I wanted and what EA said that it exported weren't really exported.  This appears to be a bug.

Can someone help me out?  Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

General Board / Re: RTF Style Templates
« on: August 15, 2003, 10:49:08 am »
Jonathan,

I would be interested to know what you have done so far with editing the template style documents.  I am assuming that you are editing these files outside of EA.

Are you able to change things like font, wording, tabbing, etc.?  Or are you just interested in changing what is extracted from EA?

General Board / RTF documentation of extention points
« on: August 14, 2003, 07:12:47 am »
I have extention points on my use case, but they are not printing out or being saved to the rtf file.  Does anyone know how to get the extention points to show up in their documentation of a use case?

The extention points are showing up on the diagram, but not on any textual documentation.

Thanks for any help on this.
