General Board / Problem reverse engineering ODBC datasource

Tried to reverse engineer an ODBC datasource, but got the message
'[MERANT][ODBC Sybase Wire Protocol driver]Number of bound columns exceeds the number of result columns'
Any idea what this means?
We're using Sybase 12.5.2 with DataDirect 4.x ODBC drivers.
I get the same error message when attempting to reverse engineer any single table as I do with the whole database.
