Uml Process / Unable to create Interrupt Flow in Activity diagram
« on: April 16, 2021, 05:59:54 pm »
Dear List

Based on the available Activity-diagram pattern Basic Activity Diagram with Interruptible Region I tried to create an own Activity-diagram using a InterruptibleActivityRegion as well.

But I was unable to get an Interrupt Flow relation between an Event and an Action created. Enterprise Architect tells me The requested connection is not UML compliant:

All I tried is to copy a similar diagram as the pattern which shows such a relationship:

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Looking forward to any hints,
Yvo

Suggestions and Requests / PostGIS support in Database Builder
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:22:24 pm »
Dear Sparx System

Is there a way to include the PostGIS (spatial extension of PostgreSQL) data types in EA (e.g. Database Builder)?

Would be a great enhancement.

Best regards,
Yvo

Suggestions and Requests / PostgreSQL schema support
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:19:47 pm »
Currently I was not successful creating PostgreSQL-schemas by using packages as container or schema. The DDL-creation was not supporting so far the SQL statement CREATE SCHEMA.

Questions:
- Is there a way to include the packages as schema in EA?
- Is the new “Database Builder” of EA-12 able to handle CREATE SCHEMA in PostgreSQL?

Looking forward to your replay.

Best regards,
Yvo

General Board / PostGIS database engineering with EA-Professional
« on: November 05, 2012, 09:44:59 pm »
Dear list

I am looking for the possibilities of using EA-Professional to design PostGIS database systems (based on PostgreSQL 9.1 and PostGIS 2.1).

Currently I can import the database scheme of PostgreSQL from ODBC. But as soon as the tables have a column with the PostGIS datatype "geometry" the import seems to fail and non of the columns are shown.

Question: Is this caused by the missing PostGIS datatype geometry? How can I include the PostGIS geometry datatype into EA?

I am looking forward to any hint regarding the usage of EA with PostGIS.

Best regards,
Yvo
