General Board / Re: How can ANSI DDL be imported directly into EA
« on: April 01, 2005, 11:08:44 am »
I have always felt a DDL importer would be great!

Often, I need to include and generate the database model for use in a project. The ODBC option requires that I (1) have access to the database, and (2) that the database already exists.

General Board / How to disable Security
« on: March 09, 2005, 09:36:52 am »
I have security turned on in several models. Now, for the first time, I need to turn it off.

The documentation gives me the impression that if it is enabled then the Project | Security| *Dis*able option should show up. It doesn't.

Suggestions?

Hi,

Unfortunately, I do not have  any immediate answers for you. Oh hope though - I have a similar situation with an office in Minnesota and one in California. I am attempting a variety of schemes and will post back what seems to work for me.

I have never touched Aris - so forewarned.

However, does Aris export models in any form of XMI?

If so, you might be able to import the Aris generated XMI into EA.

FWIW

General Board / UML Testing Profile for EA
« on: February 15, 2005, 12:10:57 pm »
I am certain that once upon a time I downloaded a UML Test Profile from the Sparx site. Now, I cannot find that profile anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction (or did I dream it? )?
