Suggestions and Requests / diagramm dependent appearance of connectors
« on: September 24, 2004, 04:17:38 am »
hi there,

in order to show differences (e.g. old vs. new) within connectors it would be good to have the possibility to color the connectors in different diagrams with different colors. Up to now its not possible.
Additionally the line thickness is limited to 3, so that this possibility to mark a difference make no sense as well. Please add this additionally.

Best regards
Markus

General Board / Re: copying dependency between diagrams - visible

Hi Thomas,

I tried it already. If I right click on the relation within the relation frame no entry show relation is visible.
Only the entries for the associated elements and delete connector is contained.

General Board / copying dependency between diagrams - visible only
« on: September 30, 2004, 09:29:15 am »
Hi there,

I copy in diagram a a dependency to diagram b (with the related classes). In diagram b no dependency is visible (the classes are visible). If I check the visbility in diagram a, I can set the visibility of the dependency in diagram b. But there is no change in diagram b.
Is there a way to make the dependency in diagram b visible?

Cheers

General Board / Re: Different colors of a specific class in diagra

Hi Thomas,

I have used the adjust appearance dialog, which gives the described effect. With the format toolbox it works well.
But as described in an new post, I have the problem with connectors. Here the format tollbox is not accessible.
Have you, or someone else,  any idea how to change  the color of connectors without influencing the color on the other diagrams?

Cheers
Markus

General Board / Different colors of a specific class in diagrams
« on: August 23, 2004, 01:59:36 am »
Hi there,

I have drawn a specific class in a diagram with the standard color. When I'm trying to use the same class in a different diagram with a different color, the class in the first diagram changes its color as well.
Is there a way to use different colors for one class in differnet diagrams (for example to show a different state).

Cheers,
Markus

Hi,

in this case, the connector will change its color in the second diagram as well.

General Board / Changed Layout after closing and reopening EA
« on: August 12, 2004, 12:18:26 am »
Hi there,

I have a class diagram with over 100 classes inside and lots of associations. If I close EA and reopen it, the layout of the diagram has changed. Especially some of the associations which have been not directly are now changed to a direct line between the association and the class.

cheers

General Board / Re: Small Symbol for diamonds
« on: August 11, 2004, 11:40:22 pm »
Hi there,

the precise description  is, that I want to link two classes with an association (n-link-element). The symbol of the association  is the diamond.
First of all I would prefer to exchange the symbol with another (what is not possible for the association).
If there is no way I should reduce the symbol to nearly unvisible. I can make it smaller, but not enough.
I uses the version 4.10.732

General Board / Small Symbol for diamonds

Hi there,

I want to use the diamond symbol to link some classes. The result shows a diamond, which is not resizable to a very small symbol.
Is there a way to use another symbol or to size it very small (nearly unvisible)?

Best regards,
Markus

Hi KP,

thanks for the tip. I have already tried to refresh and update the elements. The result has no effect.
Another idea?

Hi there,

I try to make a association between a component an a package within the automation interface. The result is, that the connection exist if I check the connector, but in the link-view of the package or the component no relation is visible.

Has someone an idea how I can make the association visible?

I make the association with the following commands (variables are replaced´):
set connector = component.connectors.addnew(package.name, "Association")
connector.supplierID = package.packageID

Cheers

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Re: Association Class
« on: August 02, 2004, 03:58:24 am »
Sorry,

I've been not precise enough.
I want to connect to two classes via Association Class within the Automation Interface.
The classes I could create already, but I found no example for the association class.

Best regards,
Markus
