Hi,

Can you please add a 'Links' tab on the property dialog for elements of type requirement?

Best, Ronald

Hi,

When creating a structured (use case) scenario it is possible to set the entity responsible to either User or System (indicated by a sticky man or PC icon at the left of a scenario line).

First of all It seems that it is not possible to show this field in an RTF report: can you add this field?

Secondly I'd like to request the option to generate a '2 lane' use case RTF report based on the responsible element.
Assuming this scenario:
1. User step A
2. User step B
3. System step X
4. User step C
5. System step Y

A '2 lane' output of this scenario would look like this:
UserSystem
1. User step A
2. User step B
3. System step X
4. User step C
5. System step Y

Best, Ronald

Suggestions and Requests / Merge and duplicate element functionality
« on: February 12, 2009, 11:46:37 pm »
I would like to see the capability to:
1. Merge elements: e.g. select 2 elements (fi classes) and make it 1 class having all the methods and attributes of both, including links to other elements and appear on all diagrams where the former 2 appeared. I think this is very useful because after some time I often detect duplicates in models I am responsible for. Now I have to this manually which can be pretty awkward and error prone task.
2. Duplicate elements: make an exact copy of an element, including links to other elements

Best,
Ronald

And if there's no option please add it!

All,

The default for complexity / difficulty and priority property for an element is now automatically set to 'Medium'.

Can it default to empty?

This seems minor but now it is not clear whether the attribute value is really medium or if its value is still to be determined.

Suggestions and Requests / Template generator: filter connected elements
« on: October 09, 2007, 05:11:51 am »
In the rtf template editor I'd like to have the option to filter connected elements by element type.
Reason:
I'd like to have a report which gives me an overview of my use cases + (per use case) shows me a list of requirements realized by a use case.

Ronald

Suggestions and Requests / Convert message to operation
« on: July 21, 2006, 07:55:11 am »
On a sequence diagram: I'd like to see a feature to convert messages to class operations.

The reason is that first you do your analysis and afterwards you can decide the actual instance classifier (which should get the message as an operation).

Greetings,
Ronald

BTW: I have read earlier comments on this board.

The operations must be created ahead. Once they are in the class you can select them from the drop down. There's also an enhancement request to allow creation of operations out of messages.

Go to to the Suggestions and request Forum and support "Convert message to operation" if you think it is a usefull enhancement.

Thanks for your quick response.

It seems that this applies for a new feature request

General Board / Merge / replace actors

Hi All,

Is there some way to merge/ replace double actors?

F.i. I've created actor X and Y, draw up some sequence diagrams and later on I discover that X and Y are actually the same actor, so now I want replace all Y's by X.

Greetings,
Ronald

All,

I've set up auto name counters for some elements and now I want to use these counters when creating a new elements using the automation interface.

Does anybody now if this is possible (and if yes: how!)?

Thx,
Ronald

Hi All,

I'd like to have a rtf generator template which gives me an overview of my use cases + (per use case) shows me a list of requirements realized by a use case.

Note: I have succeeded in displaying a list of all connected elements for a specific use case (including the requirements), however I want this list to contain requirements only...

Anyone got a clue?

Thanks in advance,
Ronald
