Suggestions and Requests / Re: Options / Links / Default Link Style
« on: October 07, 2015, 11:15:26 pm »
Sometimes, it seems to me that Sparx focusses on developing new features instead of completing the basic functions - like this one.
Of course: from the marketing view it sounds better to announce a new diagram type "Roadmap-Diagram" instead of a feature like "All available link types can now be selected as default". But I am not sure if this will always be the right strategy. One day EA will have a huge set of of features - but no consistent user experience any more. I am worried a little bit...  :-(

Suggestions and Requests / Options / Links / Default Link Style
« on: October 06, 2015, 07:25:17 pm »
Dear support team,

why isn't it possible to select other default link styles than "Direct", "Routed" or "Custom" in "Options / Links / Default Style"?

We mostly use the Link Style "Orthogonal - Square" and thus have to change the style of any link during modeling - which is really annoying.

Best regards
Christian

General Board / Re: Component Diagram -> Socket Ball Notation
« on: December 10, 2015, 08:03:48 pm »
Other tools (e.g. MID Innovator) support the behaviour that I have described. In my opinion, this is the only way way that really makes sense, because an additional connector between exposed interfaces just makes the diagrams look more confusing.

General Board / Component Diagram -> Socket Ball Notation

Hi,

how can I connect an exposed REQUIRED interface (Socket) and an exposed PROVIDED interface (ball) together to make them look likean assembly connector?

Bugs and Issues / Re: Notes Editor does not save Multi-level bullets

I don't see to post any topic of this forum as a feature request, because I hope - or even expect - that the Sparx guys regularly take a look in their user forums. Otherwise we would have to state that they have completely lost the contact to their user community...

This just unbelievable and disappointing at the same time. These (to be honest: unacceptable) limitations of the note editor keep us from from using EA for more intensive (Word-) document generation - and thus from more intensive usage at all.

Bugs and Issues / Notes Editor does not save Multi-level bullets

When editing the element notes in the node editor, it is possible to define bullet poins with multiple levels, e.g.:
  • Bullet level 1
  • Bullet level 1
    • Bullet level 2
    • Bullet level 2
  • Bullet level 1
When reloading the notes, all bullets are reset to level 1!!! This is really annoying because the complete defined hierarchy gets lost by this behaviour.
