General Board / Re: Java Code reverse engineering

Jim,

Right click on Logical Model --> Code Engineering --> Import Source Directory.

I just imported the folder which contains the packages for my project. As long as that's all in one folder there's no problem.

Jim,

You can just import your source directory and it will create the package tree automatically. This works very well.

The thing I really don't like is that I still have to import everything one by one (or multiselect) when I actually want to create a class diagram with classes from different packages. It would be great if there was an easier way to do this.

It's probably possible to do this somehow but I haven't had much time to experiment and the help files are not very conclusive imho.

BMP and GIF: Red lines in the right hand corner of the folder icons

WMF fine. Word prints all the icons upside down (not the packages though).

EMF icons are black and yellow - unreadable.

WMF seems to be the best option for me at the moment although I'm curious why Word turns the icons upside down.

Hope this helps fixing the error.

The package views are unuseable when exported. It would be good if the folder/class icons could be disabled in the options. I know it is possible to hide the package contents but I really like this view as it is - just fix those icons please  ;)

General Board / Problems when exporting Diagrams as pics
« on: April 30, 2002, 10:52:22 am »
I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but when I I copy packages to the clipboard (or when I export them as files) the little folder and package icons get messed up badly. It seems to be slightly better when I export as BMP but it's nevertheless far from perfect.

Are there any workarounds? I mainly paste these pics into Word but I've also tried pasting/opening the pics in Paint Shop Pro and the result is the same.

Thanks

General Board / Autoresize classes on font increase
« on: April 30, 2002, 02:18:53 pm »
Although the classes look normal after a font size increase, the print preview reveals that the classes weren't actually re-sized. Autoresize option doesn't solve this problem.
