Suggestions and Requests / Re: MDG Integration for Eclipse
« on: October 03, 2006, 05:02:09 am »
Thanks for the reply. No, I was talking about the capabilities of the MDG Integration for VS2005. As you know, this one integrates into the IDE. So, I was wondering whether there will be a similar one for the Eclipse IDE as well. Current one is pretty much like the old VS2003 Link. It doesn't integrate into the VS2003 IDE.

Suggestions and Requests / Bird's Eye View
« on: June 21, 2006, 01:40:38 am »
Hi there!

How about a bird's eye view for the diagram contents? When the diagrams get big, it is very hard to use the scrollbars. Hey, everyone else has it! Just have a look at Rational or Poseidon.
:P

General Board / Limiting auto instance to sequence diagrams
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:54:56 pm »
Hi,

Is there a way to limit the auto instance feature only to sequence diagrams? It gets really annoying if you are creating links between use cases and collaborations. It generates instances for everything!

General Board / Relationship Management

Is there an easy way to do the following, instead of creating new links?

What we have is like the following:

(<-- : dependency)

Features <-- Module (requirement) <-- Sub Module (requirement) <-- Function (requirement)

This works fine, but we also would like to hide the modules and see the Feat <-- Function relationship directly.

Thanks!

General Board / How about a community edition of EA?
« on: March 26, 2008, 02:34:40 am »
Well, how about?  ;D

Of course, a stripped down version would do just fine. If you can not see why, please check out (http://staruml.sourceforge.net/en/).

What I'm talking about is an EA edition for the hobbyist (ala ms visual studio express editions).

Bugs and Issues / Re: Drag and Drop distorts the shapes

Well, since I have created these classes on the project explorer, not on a diagram, I have used them for the first time on a sequence diagram.

Well, I think the problem is stranger than it seems ;o) Since the default diagram -where the item was first used- was a sequence diagram in my case, EA tried to reflect the shape of the lifeline (rectangle) of the object of the class!

When I put the class on a class diagram first, I did not have the same problem.

Bugs and Issues / Drag and Drop distorts the shapes
« on: October 13, 2009, 05:50:17 pm »
When an uml element is put on a diagram using drag and drop, its shape becomes elongated. This happens only with Class symbols. For example, a class with a few operations becomes a huge rectangle if you d'n'd it on a diagram.

How can this be fixed?

Bugs and Issues / When models is published - language problem
« on: July 11, 2008, 05:46:25 pm »
When I publish a model, Turkish characters are replaced with (?) equivalent Latin characters such as i for [ch305], s for [ch351], etc.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi,

Well how do you do it? We are having a hard time with the build script editor. Can anyone share a build script with us please?

Thanks.

What we are trying to do is something like this:

- we have a module\sub module\function list in EA all of which are requirements with different stereotypes

- we would like to transform them into tasks in VS2008 using the mdg integration so that we can assign them to the project team

How can we do that?

Thanks!
