haha so true

But I find that your books have helped me along with much of my scripting with EA.

Okay.

I was able to create a vbscript to generate an xml file with images from a folder.  I was then able to import the xml string using your custom command.  Now I am able to change the diagram object's appearance with an imported image.

I didn't see the command in your ScriptingEA book until you pointed it out. I saw in the book that the xml needs to be a string.

Thank you q!
I really appreciated your help.

Okay.
It looks like I can use SetStyleEx on the DiagramObject to add "ImageID=<num>;"

Is there a way to automatically add images to they system to reference?

I am trying to add an image to an element through the automatic interface.
Does anyone know the method to superimpose an image onto an element?

Thank you for your help,

General Board / Auto-Generating Reports with Use Case Scenarios
« on: April 03, 2014, 08:18:36 am »
I am currently using the Document Generator class to insert use case scenarios into a PDF document.  The generated document lists the scenarios in alphabetical order.  I want to list the scenarios based on Path Type.  Other than having to loop through the scenarios myself, I wanted to know if there was a way to turn off the alphabetization and have the Basic Path list before the Alternate or Exception paths.

Thank you,
Brian

General Board / Re: Automatically Create a Legend
« on: November 15, 2013, 08:15:58 am »
Ah. So I create it like I would create a Text element, but I need to add an xref with a modified description.  That is a bit of work.

I only need two different types of legends that will be reused based on diagram type.  The easiest way sounds like creating the legends in a 'holding' diagram and pull them by ID when I need them.

Thank you for the help!

Does anyone know the method call to create a legend from script?
There is no mention on how to create one on Sparx's site nor in the ScriptingEA book.

Thank you for your time,
Brian

I am using the LayoutDiagramEx method to layout my diagrams.
When using the LayoutStyle parameter, how do I insert multiple enumerations that I want to use.
I want to use these options:
lsCycleRemoveDFS
lsLayeringOptimalLinkLength
lsInitializeDFSIn
lsLayoutDirectionDown

Thank you for your help
