Suggestions and Requests / EA as a Webserver for accessing Diagrams

Old Story, but maybe ;-)

I would like to see a easy integration of my diagrams in my wiki. For Dokumentation i prefere the Wiki (Atlassian Confluence), but it is a pain to update the diagrams. In my mind is something like a free EA Reader that can work like a Webserver, an i can simply link/include the Diagrams like pictures from other websites.

My two wishes:

EA as a "Service" - to include Elements and Diagramms in a Wiki (like Confluence). Not only as a Link, i mean "embedded" in the Page and you only have to open EA when you want to edit something.

Rich Text Editor - i would like to see a easy include for Pictures in die Rich Text Editor of the Elements. Or creating Tables...

SBVR is a nice thing, Artisan Studio has that feature and is really nice for Business Models.

I saw a nice feature in artisan, the support ob SBVR. What it does is, you can model your glossary. Well, thats not a big deal as we can use UML for that. The artisan implementation now let you use the modeled vocabulary in the description of, for example, a class element or even more importand, you use them in business rules. When you change the vocabulary, it automatic changes all elements linked to that Entry in the vocabulary. Thats a nice feature if you have to use diffrent languanges. Load another langage from your vocabulary and the description of the elements are updatet too.

Not that easy to explain, but i was very impressed at the presentation.

Requirements Interchange Format (RIF)

RIF comes from the automotive industry. Its a aproach to transfer requirements between diffrent requirment management applications.

Glossary Link
A nice Feature would be a option for a automatic Glossary Link.
When you write a description...., the words automatik gets a link to the glossary. Or you can Modell a Glossary and use the elements for writing a description, lets say in a class element. When you change the "glossary" model, rename the element, then it changes in all descriptions.

RTF Generation Glossary
A Option to generate the glossary with only the elements that are used in the rtf dokument.

Maybe that options already exists? There are so many in EA ;-)

Is it possible to link a attribute from a class to a UI Element from a Screen?

I was thinking that i have seen something like this in the past, but when i try it out i can only like the UI Elements to the class.

1) select View Properties
2) Open the Drop Down List on Stereotype
3) select "browse other stereotypes"

General Board / Re: EA 7.5 and Screen Architect

I just installed the trial version. For the first view, it looks realy nice. The feature for positioning the elements are realy cool. What i'm missing, or just did not found, is the relation between two Screens. When i open a new Screen with a Button - the link from that Button to the Screen. To get a overview about the complexity and to check of missing connections and dead ends. That would be nice in the model view of EA.

Now i have the Question to answer - is the nicer look, to make screens clickable and  the very nice usability worth the risk to use a third party tool (incompatibilities between releases....). Or is the limited "build in" screen design functionality enough for the first step and then later on use a RIA Prototype Software?

... ist there a MDG Transformation between EA User Interface Elements and ScreenArchitect Elements planed or available?

and another question about the Search  8-).

I tried the "recently modified elements" search, opend the result in the model search view and ..... it was not sorted like i think i should be, like ascending (the sql from sparx does have a ORDER BY
 ModifiedDate ASC at the end). Well, it is sorted ascending, but not with Date as Format, its based on Strings and that result is not very helpful.

Example (Swiss date format - dd.mm.yyyy):
.....
20.02.2009
25.05.2009
30.03.2009
30.03.2009
.....

Is there a way to get a "better" result?
