I asked because we're doing something based on this GUID and we've exported/imported tens of packages. But it happened once recently that GUIDs were changed in XMI file.

Is it possible for GUIDs to change when somebody restores EA db backup, works in EA and exports XMI?

Thank you.

Hello guys,

I wanted to confirm about possibility of GUID changing.
What happens when "Strip GUID" is checked?
Could it change during import/export?
Or any other way.

Thank you.

Hello, Thomas,

We currently have an MS Access based application to track how much time was spent by who on what task.

Now that we're going to use EA everywhere, we want to use it to do the above job too. E. g. if I'm working on coding a class that is on diagram, I would like to select that class and punch-in. Then when I'm done I'll punch-out.

I should be able to do this with all kinds of elements, not just classes.

Thank you,

Bhavesh.

Hello guys,

I would like to see a menu option for punching in and out of a task.
Actually it's something I'm working on right now. But I think you guys can do it much better.

Thank you,

Bhavesh.

Bugs and Issues / WAN Optimizer MSSQL user password issue
« on: May 06, 2010, 02:11:14 am »
Hello friends,

The problem is that when my MSSQL user has a password (not blank), the WAN Optimizer service fails to log in into MSSQL server.
It works fine when I set the password to blank.

I've reported this issue to Sparx in other ways.
They asked me to keep the password length under 30.
I made it 7 characters long, all small case alphabets.
It fails even when password is simple "a".

Please help or share similar experience.

Thanks a lot.

Please let me know if we're doing something wrong.

P. S.

Bugs and Issues / Re: Security "Full lock" not working
« on: November 17, 2009, 07:19:31 pm »
When I have "Unlocked means you cannot edit", I don't don't have "Lock Package..." context menu option. As a result I don't have "Lock/Unlock Package(s)" dialog which has "Full lock, no-one may edit" radio button.

Thank you,

Bhavesh.

Bugs and Issues / Security "Full lock" not working
« on: November 17, 2009, 03:02:33 am »
I have following:
Progra Version 7.5.843 (Build: 843) - Unicode Database Version: 4.01 Version Date: Jan-32-2004

Although I can apply "User may edit" and "Group may edit" locks, I can't put "Full lock, no-one may edit" lock.

Thank you,

Bhavesh.
