Is ther eany way to hide the label <<from "packageName">> in a new diargram when i drag to element from another package into new package.

When i spoke to my Network Admin, he said probaly because of DNS name of the server. It did not made much sense to me becuase normal check-out process works but when you perform locks it fails.

No help from Sparx.

What i noticed is i could lock, get latest, release lock from the working copy folder using TortoiseSVN. But when i use EA to setup Version Control Settings i am getting the error. After the error dialog closes i  get another message saying that "Error Initializing Version Control Provider".

Please, please everybody look into the issue and help me.

Hi All,

The error i am receiving is a bit wierd. We have the SubVersion deployed on internet and we have teams working in multiple locations. The user authentication is using AD and the Apache is used as a channel for SubVersion.

Some people are able to configure the EA models with SubVersion and they are working fine. For some of them they werre able to create the local copy and perform CHECKOUT using SVN commands. We tried using Tortoise SVN also and we were able to work with that. When these folks are trying to configure SubVersion in EA they are seeing the following Error

"svn:REPORT REQUEST failed on "http://........."
svn: REPORT of "http://.........." Could not read the status line. An existing connection was forcibly closed by remote host (<host name>).

What could be the issue?

There are no proxy configurations required at the client side. The version of EA is 6.1 where it is faiing. Is this any thing to do with EA Version

General Board / how to merge two versions of controlled packages

Hi

We are using SubVersion as our Version Control S/W. e thought of performing branches and merges of the packages. If we merge using SubVersion it seems nothing is working. Is there any way we can merge the different versions of controlled packages. Replication is out of question.

I am trying to generate the RTF output from my model and i am getting the following error

"Error creating output file"

If i View i see only blank page. I compacted the model but not of use.

You can use the central repository concept along with controlled packages.

Follow the scenario

Swimline Actor : Project Architect

a) creates a new model
b) Creates control packages
c) Upsizes the model into DBMS repository


Swimline Actor : Business Analyst

d) Connects to the repository directly (no downloading of model using data trasfer)
e) Check out the control package
f) Works on the package and check-in the package

Hi

EA Version 7.1.829
I have activity diagram with swimlanes. I want to copy the activity diagram into Presentation.

I dis Ctrl A to select all object and Ctrl+C to copy from EA and pasted into PPT.

In PPT i don't see the Swimlanes and headings. Please let me know what i need configure to get the swimlanes
